Domestic and Foreign Journalists Visited CELAP for Interviews



On June 18, 2021, a delegation consisting of 15 journalists from 9 Chinese mainstream media and 39 journalists from 22 foreign media visited CELAP, as part of an effort to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The activity was organized by the State Council Information Office. Chen Wenjun, head of the Press Bureau of the State Council Information Office (SCIO) and spokesperson of the SCIO, moderated the press conference between CELAP leaders and the visiting journalists.

At the press conference, Prof. Cao Wenze, on behalf of CELAP, extended a warm welcome to the journalists before introducing the background, history and features of the academy. The members of CELAP leadership answered questions from the journalists. During the visit, the journalists experienced how interview-based teaching was carried out for the course titled “The Belt and Road Initiative and Cross-Cultural Exchange”. As part of their tour around the CELAP campus, the journalists visited the Themed Classroom for Pudong’s Development and Opening-up, and CELAP’s teaching buildings. They also attended an on-site class at the Zhangjiang Artificial Intelligence Pavilion together with the participants, and interviewed some teachers and participants of the academy.
