On April 4, Vice-President Zheng Jinzhou met with a delegation of three members headed by Mr. Ernst Yurkin, Deputy Consul General of the Russian Federation in Shanghai. Mr. Liu Genfa, Deputy Director-General of Department of International Exchange, was also present at the meeting.
Prof. Zheng expressed his warm welcome to the visiting guests, and briefed them on the Academy’s missions and programs, as well as cooperation with the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) and its North-West Institute of Administration, and the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law in the fields of public administrator training and curricula development. He also introduced the challenges and opportunities that Shanghai has encountered in its efforts to implement its short- and long-term strategic development goals.
Mr. Yurkin noted that 2019 will mark the 70th anniversary of the China-Russian diplomatic relations and applauded frequent high-level exchanges and rapid development of relations between the two nations. He expressed his wish to further exchanges with CELAP and pledged to provide support for cooperation between CELAP and Russian training and research institutions.
Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited teaching facilities on the campus.
