The Mayor of Siliguri Visits CELAP

On June 5th, a delegation led by Mr. Asok Bhattacharya, mayor of Siliguri, West Bengal, India, visited CELAP. Wang Jinding, Vice President of CELAP, met with the delegation. Liu Genfa, DDG of Department of International Exchange, also attended the meeting.

Prof. Wang Jinding extended the warm welcome to the delegation. He briefly introduced China’s leadership training system, and the new concepts, new ideas and new strategies of China’s governance led by the Central Committee of CPC, with President Xi Jinping being the core. He illustrated these ideas from six aspects, namely, the China dream of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, sticking to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics, constructing the “five in one” overall layout and the “four comprehensive” strategic blueprint, five development concepts, the new type of international relations featuring win-win cooperation, and strengthening CPC’s self construction.

Mr. Asok Bhattacharya expressed his sincere thanks to CELAP and Prof. Wang Jinding. He briefly introduced Indian party system and the current governance situation of Siliguri. Later, both sides conducted a heated discussion on seven aspects, including the mass line policy of CPC, the core values of Chinese socialism, the socialist market economy, balancing the urban and rural development and other issues.

             The delegation highly praised CPC’s great achievements and benefited a lot from this visit.
